Biography

Elizabeth Hearne earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Oberlin College and holds a master’s and a doctorate in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has taught at UIC, St. Francis College, and Kendall College, and she served as a course associate at Columbia University for a graduate-level class on change management. Elizabeth previously served as Associate Director of Administration for the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution master’s degree program at Columbia University and held program management roles at Hunter College and UIC.

Elizabeth’s dissertation focused on psychiatry and psychology, feminist activism, and mental health treatment for victims of sexual assault in the late twentieth century.
