A Guide to Engaging with Newcomb: Opportunities for Alumnae
As a proud alum of Newcomb College of Tulane University, you are part of a vibrant network dedicated to advancing its critical goals. Here’s how you can stay connected and contribute to the ongoing success of Newcomb Institute and its community.
Newcomb Alumnae Association (NAA)
Established in 1910 as the Alumnae Association of Newcomb College, Newcomb Alumnae Association (NAA) is the cornerstone of alumnae engagement. Now affiliated with the Newcomb Institute, the NAA provides valuable programs and services for Newcomb College graduates and all undergraduate Tulane alumnae. With over 30,000 members nationwide, the NAA strengthens personal, collegiate, and professional connections among its members.
NAA Board of Directors
Nominations for the NAA Board of Directors open each fall. Board members serve two-year terms and convene quarterly to plan and oversee programs that support intellectual growth, career development, and fellowship among Newcomb alumnae. If you’re passionate about these areas and want to make a lasting impact, consider joining the Board.
Newcomb Alumnae Association Awards
The NAA annually honors four distinguished alumnae who have exemplified the values and achievements of Newcomb since their graduation. These awards celebrate the exceptional contributions of our alumnae and highlight their continued commitment to the Newcomb legacy. To learn more about these awards and past recipients, visit our website.
Newcomb Networking Night
The NAA hosts Newcomb Networking Night each fall, a remote networking event designed to connect current Tulane students with accomplished alumnae. This event fosters meaningful intergenerational connections through themed breakout sessions focused on career interests and geographical topics. Alumnae can participate as room hosts, speakers, or attendees, enriching the experience. This year’s Newcomb Networking Night was held on October 30, 2024.
Form a Newcomb Alumnae Book Club
Regional book clubs organized by the NAA bring alumnae together for evenings of engaging discussion. These gatherings are an excellent way to reconnect with fellow alumnae and dive into thought-provoking literature. To join a book club near you or to volunteer as a host, please get in touch with newcombalumnae@tulane.edu.
Join your Reunion Committee
Celebrate your Newcomb connection by joining your Reunion Committee! Every five years, alumnae are invited back to campus to reconnect and reminisce. As a committee member, you'll help represent Newcomb to your classmates and make your reunion even more memorable.
