Newcomb Leaders Program

The Newcomb Leaders Program is a unique two-year training experience that centers leadership and change-making through a feminist first lens. The program offers co-curricular opportunities for students to become socially responsible, equity-driven, and career-ready undergraduate leaders. Students will cultivate the skills, values, and knowledge necessary to lead with integrity and drive meaningful change in their communities and professional fields.

Open to all full-time sophomore, junior, and senior Tulane undergraduate students.

As a Newcomb Leader, you’ll:

  • Build Leadership Skills: Develop practical skills and confidence through workshops, reflection, and hands-on experiences.
  • Lead Across Campus: Leadership comes in many forms. Whether you lead a student organization, advocate for a cause, captain a team, conduct research, or are just beginning your leadership journey, Newcomb helps you develop the skills to lead with confidence and purpose.
  • Develop Strong Connections Within Your Cohort: Small, mixed-class cohorts allow you to learn from experienced peers, build mentorship style relationships, and grow your network at Tulane and beyond.
  • Connect with National Leaders: Expand your horizons by participating in national leadership training programs and conferences. Funding support from Newcomb Institute ensures you can take full advantage of these enriching experiences.
