Acorns and Oaks Program
Our Acorns and Oaks Program matches a first-year or transfer student with a Newcomb or Newcomb-Tulane alum to help facilitate the transition to college life. Alums can provide new students with an opportunity to gain valuable insights into campus life, explore New Orleans like a local, and build a lasting connection.
Please consider your availability carefully before signing up, as both students and alumni are committed to making this program a meaningful and enriching experience.
Sign-ups will be first-come, first-served! We can only accept as many students as we have alumni participating in the program. Pairs will be matched and notified in early September, and a snowball social will be planned for all participants depending on their availability.
