Dr. Baron, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research, is seeking an undergraduate or graduate research assistant to support her projects related to political violence, democratic backsliding, and research ethics. Either Spanish language fluency and/or data analysis and visualization skills in R are required. Students with just one of these skill sets are highly encouraged to apply. Additional required skills are high levels of organization and excellent communication. The RA will support Dr. Baron with research projects and events related to gathering and curating testimonies from Central American dissidents, research ethics in contexts impacted by violence, and analyzing the causes and consequences of lynching events in Mexico, among other related projects. The position will cultivate students’ intellectual and civic curiosity as well as strengthen academic and professional skills in the production of policy-relevant academic research.
