Abby Woods

Abby Woods serves as the Assistant Director of Student Leadership and Engagement for Newcomb Institute where she manages the Newcomb Peer Mentor Program, advises Newcomb student organizations, and coordinates the Under the Oaks awards ceremony.

She received a B.A in Sociology from West Virginia University and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from LSU.

Abby comes to Newcomb with a wealth of knowledge about career development and has spent much of her own career working as an educator, career coach, and mental health professional in New Orleans. She is an avid student advocate who cares deeply about her student’s personal and professional success.
