Greenbaum Fellow

Newcomb Institute welcomes proposals from faculty to be the 2020-2021 Greenbaum Fellow.

We invite faculty (full-time, tenure or non-tenure track) to submit proposals that describe how their work supports one of the Institute’s focus areas:

  • Gender
  • Women’s intersectional political leadership
  • Women and prison
  • Gender-based violence
  • Sexual and reproductive health (especially in Louisiana or Kenya)
  • Women’s literature (especially memoir)
  • Women and performance
  • Women and technology
  • Women and STEM
  • Women's history (especially history of women/gender/feminism in the Gulf South)

Greenbaum Fellows will receive:

  • $2,600 research fund
  • An office in the Newcomb Institute space in the Commons for the 2020-2021 academic year
  • Administrative and program support
  • Great coffee (once we start making office coffee again!)

To apply, please submit through the application, a CV and a 2-3 page proposal that describes your research project and how your work aligns with the Newcomb Institute mission by October 15, 2020. Applicants will be notified by November 1, 2020.
