Heather L. Johnson is a Research Assistant Professor at the Newcomb College Institute. Heather completed her undergraduate work at the University of Chicago, where she studied Law, Letters, and Society as well as Psychology. She also holds a Masters of Science in Psychoanalytical Developmental Psychology from the Anna Freud Centre at the University College London and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. Heather is currently a doctoral candidate completing dual doctoral degrees both in Education Policy and Higher, Adult, and Life-Long Education at Michigan State University.
Heather's broad scholarly interests lie in the areas of gender, law, education, and leadership. At NCI, Heather's research will be focused on collaborating with a network of scholar to track and compile the data needed to diversify the judiciary.
Heather is a member of several professional organizations including the American Education Research Association (AERA), the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and the LGBT Bar Association.
