The Newcomb Fellows

What is the Newcomb Fellows program?
The Newcomb Fellows is a voluntary association of faculty from all undergraduate colleges of Tulane University.  A Newcomb Fellow supports the higher education of women and participates in activities of the Newcomb College Institute that foster faculty-student interaction and research. 

The Newcomb Fellows program was established by a resolution of the Tulane Board of Administrators in November of 1987.  The Newcomb College Institute administers the Newcomb Fellows program.

Who can become a Newcomb Fellow?
A regular, full-time faculty member or professor of practice who is teaching in any of the undergraduate schools of Tulane University can apply to become a Newcomb Fellow.   

Who can apply for a Newcomb Fellows grant?
Faculty members who are Newcomb Fellows may apply for a faculty grant, and female undergraduate students who are enrolled full-time at Tulane University when application is made and when funds are used may apply for a Newcomb Fellows grant.
