Sam Stover is the Archivist for Technical Services and Digital Initiatives at the Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Library Special Collections. Sam graduated from Tulane in 2010 with a Master of Arts in English Literature and obtained a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Digital Archives. While in Austin, Sam worked in a variety of archives, including the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary Archives, the George Bush Library and Museum, and the Archive of Indigenous Languages of Latin America. Sam also serves on the board of the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana, which seeks to preserve the history and culture of Louisiana’s LGBT history. Sam is the staff advisor for the Society of Women Engineers.
