This website serves to provide information about integrating digital badges into undergraduate education. It is an ongoing research process that will seek to answer the following questions:

  • What are digital badges and what can they bring to the undergraduate experience?
  • How might undergraduate curricula be redesigned with digital tools and digital critical thinking in mind?
  • How can a system of accreditation and standards be implemented and what standards would be used?
  • What university infrastructure and support is necessary for successfully integrating ┬ádigital badges into the undergraduate curriculum?

The application of digital badges to undergraduate education is still a relatively a new idea. By presenting case-studies of universities that have implemented a badge system and reaching out to them for feed-back, this site hopes to answer some of these questions and question the feasibility of implementing a badge system here at Tulane.
