 "Queens Rule!" features prominent women from the New Orleans community discussing their roles in Mardi Gras Indian traditions and cultural practices.

The documentary was directed, filmed, and produced in Spring 2008 by students in Betsy Weiss' Feminist Documentation and New Media Class, through Newcomb College Center for Research on Women and in conjunction Cherice Harrison-Nelson and the Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame.

Student filmmakers are:  Kelsy Olsen, Grace Strother, Katherine Corbett, Jun-Jun Zhu, Xin Luo, and Yuliya Benina.  This early cut of the piece was screened the weekend of April 25-27, 2008 at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, at the Mardi Gras Indians Queens exhibit, and is currently under revision.
