
The Culinary History Group is an informal group interested in studying the history of food. We are currently working on three projects -- the bibliography of New Orleans cookbooks, the history of key recipes around which New Orleans food has distinguished itself, and an oral history project.
In the past we have met to watch and discuss films in which food played a starring role and have also worked on exhibits and lectures together.
We will begin a new series of programs in September 2008.
